I recently upgraded to mysql 4.0.18. In the past you
could set the option safe-show-databases and that
allowed users to list databases, but only those they
have permissions to see. It seems that this 4.0.18
will only allow users to see ALL databases, or NO
databases, depending on the SHOW_DATABASES field in
the mysql.user table.
Is there any way to allow users to list ONLY the
databases they have permissions on?
